As the son of a salesman, my family and I moved around frequently while I was growing up. From a very young age, I watched and learned from my mother, who always did everything she could to transform each new house into a comfortable home for our family. With each move came a new house and a new challenge.  Early on, I began tapping my creative energies and designing my own room to be a relaxing safe-haven for me.

As the years went on, I began to decorate my sisters' rooms as well, along with helping my mother with other rooms in the house. Realizing that she had a knack for creativity in the home, my mother joined with a longtime friend and formed a home decor service called Kitty and Maria's.

At the age of 19, I joined her company and began my journey into the world of interior decorating. While working with Kitty and Maria's, I honed my basic skills such as painting and wallpapering, color matching, texturing, lighting, organization, arrangement, and overall aesthetic value. I also developed my own natural artistic drawing and painting skill by creating original wall murals.

For 12 years, Kitty and Maria's brought comfort and imaginative spark to homes all over the Northeast, and I was able to live my passion. Eventually, my mother and her friend retired from the decorating business, and I went on to pursue career venues in entertainment and hospitality.

Although I have gained much valuable experience from these paths, I have never lost my passion for creativity and artistic flair in the home. I have often taken on side decorating projects for friends and relatives, and my own home has always been an ever-changing canvas.  No career I have had since has ever compared to the satisfaction I felt while creating unique and wondrous spaces in which to live.

My greatest joy is still to see the happiness in a person's eyes when they return home to a space that is beautiful, comfortable, and truly their own. And so I have returned to the field of my passion.  It has long been my belief that a home is a castle; it is my mission to help you turn your castle into a Royal palace that you can call home.
